As aHR Business Partner at BD, you'll work closely with leaders across Australia and New Zealand to support people decisions that directly impact performance, capability and engagement. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and day-to-day delivery, within a fast-moving, sales-led environment.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideal for an experienced HR Advisor or early-stage HR Business Partner who enjoys working close to the business, using data to inform decisions and coaching leaders to think beyond immediate outcomes.
You'll partner with a wide range of stakeholder groups across both in-field and corporate teams, working closely with leaders to navigate complex people decisions across a diverse ANZ business.
Your Day-to-Day
You will combine hands-on HR delivery with genuine business partnering.
You will:
Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical HR plans and actionsProvide HR advice across employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent development and change managementCoach and support managers to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness and engagementAnalyse workforce and HR data to identify trends, inform decision-making and measure effectiveness of HR initiativesSupport organisational design, workforce planning and change initiativesPartner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and retention of key rolesManage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations where requiredDrive implementation of HR policies, processes and best practices, ensuring compliance with ANZ employment legislationChampion BD's culture and values, promoting inclusive and engaging workplace practicesPartner with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment This is a role where your judgement, data-driven insight and ability to influence will directly shape outcomes.
About You
You are commercially aware, confident engaging with stakeholders and comfortable working in environments that move quickly and expect thoughtful input.
You'll bring:
Solid experience in a business-facing HR roleStrong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislationExperience supporting commercial or sales-driven organisations (highly regarded)A clear interest in workforce analytics and using data to guide decisionsProven ability to build trusted relationships and influence at multiple levelsStrong communication, problem-solving and organisational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in MedTech, Pharma or other healthcare sales environments is a bonus but not mandatoryExposure to M&A or divestment activity is an advantage Why BD?
