About this role

0.8FTE, 29.6 hours per week

This role will be based at both our Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester and Pittville Student Village in Cheltenham.

As part of this growth, we’re seeking a proactive and skilled Registry Officer (Course Administration) to join our Academic Registry team and help shape the future of academic administration.

About Us

The Student Experience Directorate brings together services that support every aspect of student life, from wellbeing and accommodation to academic records and graduation. Academic Registry is the central hub for academic administration, working collaboratively across the University and with our external partners to deliver high-quality, student-focused services.

The Role

As the Registry Officer, you will not only be responsible for managing core teaching administration processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student records, you will also play a vital role in scrutinising existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and coaching others to develop their skills, including the use of tools like Power Automate to enhance efficiency. Making this a real opportunity to drive forward change that will have an impact on the student experience and support staff in their delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting a team of Records & Course Administrators Acting as a student records system expert and process innovator Managing course enrolment, module records, timetabling, and assessment procedures Supporting Graduation ceremonies and university-wide events Coaching and developing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Driving process enhancements and automation using digital tools Advising students, staff, and external stakeholders with professionalism and care

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced in student records systems (SITS knowledge desirable) Skilled in administration, IT, and digital tools like Microsoft Office and Power Automate Comfortable leading teams and coaching others Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for improving processes Knowledgeable about HE regulations and quality assurance (or willing to learn) Committed to equity, inclusion, and collaborative working
