Credence has an immediate need for a Senior Tester to join Credence team on FedMall/STORES program. This position will be a senior-level lead tester for the STORES 2.0 application. The Senior Tester will help lead the testing effort for STORES 2.0, a large-scale modernization project on the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures the quality, functionality, and performance of delivered features by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies. The Senior Tester will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to validate business requirements, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution before deployment. The Senior Tester will work directly with DLA PMO and various stakeholders across global locations. The Senior Tester will help lead a team of testers in the testing strategy and implementation of all forms of testing to include functional, integration, performance, regression and security. In this position, the Senior test will join an experienced team of Software Engineers, Requirement Analysts, Project Managers, Solutions Architects, Testers and Cybersecurity professionals. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow their career in the software development and engineering space by honing their skillset. This position is based either in Credence’s corporate offices located in Washington, DC area with hybrid remote option.
Responsibilities:
Expert in particular business processes, responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization’s business plan and industry requirementsActs as a member of a project team responsible for testing requirements and providing technical guidance concerning the testing strategy, implementation in unit and performance/regression testing of the applicationLearn about program mission objectives and processes to achieve objectiveLearn and understand the architecture of program applications and systemsDevelop, maintain, and execute test plans, including with ServiceNow ATAssist in leading the performance of functional, regression, integration, performance, and compliance testingExecute testing strategy, support junior testers, and contribute to process improvementIdentify and prioritize test scenarios based on business impact and riskDesign detailed test cases from user stories, acceptance criteria, and process workflowsLog, track, and retest defects in JiraCollaborate with developers to clarify issues, troubleshoot, and verify fixesDrive defect triage meetings to prioritize resolutionLead 508 compliance/accessibility testingPrepare test scripts and all required test documentationProvide software testing experience (integration and acceptance)Design and execute IT software tests and evaluating results to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsDesign and prepare all required test dataAnalyze internal security within systemsReview test results and evaluate for conformance to designCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholdersDocument and track defects using Jira and in collaboration with stakeholdersDevelop and edit user tester guides for various testing audiencesPrepare status reports and business case documents for senior leadershipAssist with project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring projects stay on trackBe able to work independently and as part of a team, working closely with development teams, DevOps, UI/UX designers, and business analystsRequirements
Must be clearable for DoW Public Trust or higherBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years related testing work experience, including ServiceNow testing experienceExperience with Jira, test case design, test planning, defect management, API testing, and performance testingExperience with Scrum and SAFe agile frameworksExperience with test automationRelevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.DoW Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level IAbility to work and produce results in an Agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlinesFamiliarity with basic ServiceNow navigation and general ServiceNow module concepts
