We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and values driven Employabilty Coordinator to join our Apprenticeships & Widening Participation Team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
This is a unique role leading the development and implementation of an inclusive recruitment pathway designed to support disadvantaged and underrepresented groups into meaningful employment across four NHS Trusts.
You will play a key role in shaping a system wide virtual talent pool, redesigning entry level recruitment routes, and ensuring participants receive the support they need to progress into healthcare roles.
A full UK driving license is essential for this post. Please note that an international driving license is not accepted.

Main duties of the job
Design and embed a virtual talent pool to support job ready candidates into NHS employment. Streamline and redesign entry level recruitment practices to remove barriers for individuals furthest from the labour market, including young people, care experienced applicants, and economically inactive residents. Coordinate a ring-fenced allocation of Apprentice, Band 2 and Band 3 vacancies for programme participants across multiple NHS providers. Work closely with partners such as DWP, the Job Shop, local colleges and skills teams to enable smooth progression from employability programmes into paid placements. Provide high-quality workforce and recruitment reporting, monitoring conversion rates, outcomes and equality metrics. Build strong relationships with HR teams, hiring managers and external stakeholders to deliver a consistent, collaborative and inclusive approach.

You will bring: A background in HR, recruitment, widening participation or inclusive employment. Experience working with diverse communities and understanding the barriers faced by those furthest from the labour market. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities. Excellent communication and partnershipbuilding skills across multiagency settings. Confident use of digital recruitment systems and Microsoft Office tools. A proactive, flexible and innovative mindset with a commitment to UHCW values.
