We are recruiting for a Recruitment and Resourcing Team Leader to play a pivotal role in ensuring a robust, efficient, and KPI-driven recruitment service that supports the Trust's vision of Improving lives through excellent and innovative care. We are looking for a colleague who has a passion for delivering high-quality, compliant recruitment services and thrives on improving performance, strengthening governance, and meeting service standards.
We are looking for an individual who:
Has well establishment recruitment experience (NHS experience desirable), which must include managing pre-employment compliance governance and working to KPI's and service standards Demonstrates a strong understanding of NHS recruitment governance, compliance, and legislation Is confident in undertaking compliance audits, reporting and analysing information. This role is ONLY eligible for sponsorship for a skilled worker visa if you have NHS experience to award NHS Band 5 intermediate paystep or have held skilled worker sponsorship for this role BEFORE 4 August 2024 or would be eligible for points on under transitional arrangements . You mustdetail within your application how you meet eligibility for sponsorship if you require sponsoring for a skilled worker visa.
Main duties of the job
This new role is key to the operational delivery and oversight of the recruitment service, ensuring that all activity is fully compliant, auditable and aligned NHS employment checks standards.
The role will lead on
Recruitment governance and compliance, ensuring accurate, complete and audit ready records at all times Achievement and continuous improvement of recruitment KPIs, driving timely hiring and reducing avoidable dealays, including production of recruitment metrics and reporting. Oversight and management of the Trust's Applicant Tracking System (TRAC) (eg infrastructure, templates and reporting) Training on TRAC functionality Sponsorship eligibility in line with Home Office regulations

Governance & Compliance
Ensure all recruitment activity is compliant with NHS Employment Check Standards, employment legislation, and Trust policy Maintain full audit readiness, with accurate and complete recruitment records and documentation Oversee pre-employment checks, right-to-work processes, DBS checks, and sponsorship compliance Lead on maintaining data integrity and governance within TRAC, ensuring reliable reporting and oversight KPI Delivery & Service Improvement
Drive the achievement of recruitment KPIs and service standards, identifying performance gaps and implementing improvements Monitor recruitment timelines, proactively addressing delays and escalating risks Produce and analyse recruitment data to inform continuous service improvement Contribute to process redesign and innovation to enhance efficiency and candidate experience Operational Recruitment Delivery
Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including advertising, shortlisting support, interviews, offers, and onboarding Provide expert advice to hiring managers on recruitment best practice and timelines Support delivery of recruitment campaigns and engagement events
Person Specification
Qualifications/Training Essential
Diploma in Personnel Practice (or equivalent or demonstrable equivalent level of experience) plus experience in recruitment or HR role.
Experience Essential
Significant current or recent experience within a recruitment role. Significant administrative experience, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel for information analysis and report generation).
Desirable
Current or recent experience working in an NHS recruitment role.
Skills and competencies Essential
Confident in analysing information and compiling reports. Confident in undertaking governance audits
Desirable
TRAC experience within a recruitment team setting (eg system infrastructure, reporting, template management). Delivered recruitment system and/or recruitment governance training.
Knowledge Essential
Well established understanding of recruitment processes and associated legislation. Strong technical knowledge of the NHS employment checks standards, NHS identity standards and Home Office sponsorship rules.
Desirable
Working knowledge of NHS terms and conditions, NHS job evaluation and NHS medical and dental terms and conditions.
Other Essential
Demonstrates commitment to the Trust's published values. Able to work effectively as part of a departmental team. Able to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Able to deliver KPIs and service standards. Able to deliver recruitment campaigns.
