RESPONSIBILITIES
About the role:
The Sr. Coupa Administrator serves as the functional owner of the Coupa Spend Management platform from a procurement perspective. This role is responsible for optimizing procurement processes, driving system adoption, ensuring compliance, and partnering with global procurement stakeholders to enable strategic sourcing, supplier management, and spend visibility. The role provides subject matter expertise, governance, and leadership for Coupa-related initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
Coupa Platform Ownership & Administration
Serve as the primary functional owner of Coupa for ProcurementLead configuration and administration of procurement-related modules, including Requisitioning, Catalogs, Punchouts, Sourcing, Contracts, and Supplier ManagementDesign and maintain approval workflows, buying channels, policies, and controls aligned with procurement governanceOversee catalog strategy, supplier enablement, pricing accuracy, and content refresh cycles Procurement Process Optimization
Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Procurement Operations to translate business strategy into Coupa-enabled processesContinuously improve Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows to increase compliance, efficiency, and user experienceDrive standardization and best practices across regions, categories, and business unitsIdentify automation opportunities and lead configuration-based enhancements Stakeholder Leadership & Support
Act as senior escalation point for Coupa-related procurement issues and enhancementsLead cross-functional collaboration with Finance, AP, IT, and external partnersInfluence stakeholders through data-driven insights and system expertiseProvide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts or administratorsResponsible for after hours and/or weekend support when needed Reporting, Analytics & Governance
Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports for spend visibility, savings tracking, and complianceMonitor system usage, off-contract spend, and supplier performanceSupport internal controls, audit requirements, and procurement policy enforcementEstablish and maintain governance models for system changes and enhancements Integrations, Projects & Enhancements
Lead procurement workstreams for Coupa upgrades, new module implementations, and global rolloutsPartner with IT on ERP integrations and data flows (e.g., supplier, item, and contract data)Manage UAT, change management, and release communicationsOwn documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards Training & Adoption
Design and deliver procurement-focused training programs for buyers, requesters, and suppliersDrive user adoption and continuous improvement through feedback loopsSupport onboarding of new procurement users, categories, and suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you an ideal candidate?
Coupa Certified Professional or Advanced Administrator certification preferredExperience supporting global or multi-entity procurement organizations preferredExperience with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday) preferredStrong reporting, analytics, and data governance experience Experience/Education:
6+ years of experience in procurement systems, P2P, or procurement operations required4+ years of hands-on Coupa administration and configuration experience requiredDeep understanding of procurement lifecycle, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management requiredProven experience partnering with senior procurement stakeholders requiredBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Information Systems required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay, and nine company holidays

The base range for the role is: USD $73,500 - $147,000
At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
