About this role
Job summary
The Assistant Technical Officer plays a vital role within Decontamination Services at King's Mill Hospital, helping to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and quality care across the Trust. Working within Sterile Services, Mattress Decontamination, or Endoscopy, the post holder supports the delivery of a safe, efficient, and responsive service by cleaning, decontaminating, reprocessing, sterilising, and tracking essential medical equipment, surgical instruments, endoscopes, and specialist mattresses. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, the Assistant Technical Officer will contribute to a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while developing valuable specialist skills. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference behind the scenes, ensuring clinical teams have the equipment they need to deliver excellent patient care.
