About this role

City St George’s, University of London is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Medical Education to provide academic leadership for our Health Equity and Diversity subtheme, part of the Patients, Populations and Society (PPS) theme of our MBBS programme.

The postholder will:

Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of teaching in health equity and diversity across the MBBS curriculum. Contribute to wider teaching and assessment within the PPS theme and the broader MBBS programme. Work closely with colleagues and students to promote inclusive, equitable approaches to medical education.

This role is open to both clinicians and non-clinicians with experience in medical education and a strong commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare and education. Appointment will be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level depending on experience.

The appointment will be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level depending on experience and clinical status. Relevant salary scales are:

Lecturer (non-clinical): City St George’s Grade 7 — £51,753 to £53,301 per annum Senior Lecturer (non-clinical): City St George’s Grade 8 — £63,606 to £65,509 per annum Senior Lecturer (clinical): NHS Consultant (2003) Pay Scale — £109,725 to £116,182 per annum, plus London allowance £2,162.

Salary placement will be determined according to skills, experience, qualifications, and clinical status in line with institutional and NHS pay frameworks
