About this role

Do you enjoy working collaboratively to understand impact and support continuous improvement? We are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to join us on a Fixed Term basis until 31st March 2027 in our Insight and Evaluation team.

What will you be doing?

You will help lead on the development and delivery of assigned research, research impact assessments and evaluation projects. You will use collation and dissemination of evidence and insights to better understand the impact of research and projects and convey this in a meaningful way to stakeholders.

Other key responsibilities:

Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into meaningful evaluation outputs. Supporting the development of curated portfolios and delivering insight through analysis and reporting. Sharing reports, presentations and briefings to build capacity and inform strategic decision making. Represent NIHR’s perspective at internal and external meetings. Contribute to the broader work of the University and across the NIHR.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who can analyse and synthesize complex data and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders, with whom you will be able to build excellent relationships with. You will also have a proven track record of planning and delivering multi-method process and outcome evaluation.

Other key Skills:

Full understanding of Microsoft office, google suite and specialist software (NVIVO) Understanding of working within agreed guidelines for ethical practice. Excellent communication, planning and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships. Ability to present to various audiences in different formats. Ability to understand stakeholders’ needs, identify risks/issues to those needs and solutions. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work across multiple projects

The role is offered at 35 hours per week, but we will consider part-time (minimum of 28 hours). Please indicate any preference on your application.
