About this role

As a System Engineer, you will join our team in Peterborough to support our activities within the Automotive sector. You will join our Electrical Systems & Advanced Machine Control team. The project will focus on the design, integration, and lifecycle management of complex systems that underpin next-generation machine control technologies.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping systems architecture, ensuring requirements are fully defined, integrated, and validated across the full product lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical and electronic background who thrives at the intersection of disciplines.

Define, capture, and manage engineering requirements.Lead system design and integration across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.Deliver verification and validation activities in alignment with the V-Model.Work with external suppliers and stakeholders where required to define specifications and integration requirements.Ensure designs adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Required Skills:

2–3 years of professional experience in systems engineeringStrong foundation in mechanical and electronic engineeringProficiency with DOORS, MATLAB, and SimulinkFamiliarity with the V-Model systems lifecycleRequired Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
