About this role

As a Control Systems Engineer you will join our team in Coventry to support our activities within the Automotive sector. The programme will support mid-stage development activities within a model-based V-Cycle environment. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and validating control models for embedded applications using MATLAB/Simulink.

Developing and implementing control algorithms and models for embedded systemsConducting MiL, SiL, and HiL testing to evaluate system behaviour and ensure functional robustnessGenerating embedded code using Simulink-based toolchains and ensuring quality and traceabilityIntegrating control models into larger system architectures and supporting cross-functional deliverySupporting validation, calibration, and system-level integrationPerforming requirements analysis and ensuring control models align with system-level specificationsMaintaining accurate documentation, test reports, and model release notesEnsuring adherence to development processes, quality standards, and safety considerations Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink for control model developmentDemonstrated history of implementing control logic for embedded systemsPractical experience with MiL/SiL/HiL testing methodologiesFamiliarity with model integration, embedded code generation, and system validation workflowsRequired Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:

Experience with automotive or industrial control systemsKnowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety for control systemsExposure to multi-domain simulation or real-time embedded platforms Why join us?
