About this role

As an Electrical Design Engineer you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.

You will work on advanced robotic systems, developing electrical layouts and designs that support project delivery from concept to validation. The role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure electrical solutions are robust, manufacturable, and meet programme requirements.

Design and develop electrical layouts and schematics for robotic systemsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integration of electrical designs into overall system architectureSupport the creation of jigs and tooling requirements for electrical assembliesReview and approve electrical design documentation to meet technical and quality standardsEnsure designs are manufacturable, maintainable, and compliant with project specifications Required Skills:

Proven experience in electrical design for robotic or automated systemsStrong ability to produce electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagramsExperience collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teamsKnowledge of jigs, fixtures, or tooling requirements for electrical assemblies is advantageousRequired Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experienceExperience in electrical design for complex systems or robotics projectsStrong understanding of engineering design standards and documentation processesDesirable Skills:

Exposure to advanced robotics or automation systemsKnowledge of testing and validation procedures for electrical systemsFamiliarity with CAD tools or electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for electrical systems
