The Opportunity

This post represents an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to expand our offering in Psychology and further strengthen our position as a School dedicated to research and teaching excellence. We are seeking individuals who can contribute towards our BSc Sport and Exercise Psychology and new for 2026 MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology programmes.

The successful candidates will be qualified in sport and exercise psychology (doctoral level or equivalent) and have links to and experience of professional practice in this area as a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist. You will have a clear plan for developing your research programme in psychology, evidenced by successful independent research activity including publications in peer-reviewed journals and potential for securing external research funding.

The School of Psychology works within a framework of open science and it is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to these principles.
