The Centre is part of an interdisciplinary campus devoted to AI and its applications. It is located within Imperial’s Translation and Innovation Hub (I-HUB) and is co-located with AI academics from across Imperial’s departments and faculties. The I-X Centre for AI in Science supported by Schmidt Science supports over 130 years of prestigious independent and original research by fellows using AI to advance science.

The Schmidt Sciences grant runs for 7 years with up to 38 fellows hosted in any year. Critically it has a strong aspect of training fellows from diverse backgrounds in topics in AI. You will have a key role in enhancing and supporting the research and training of the I-X Centre for AI in Science Fellows.

What you would be doing:

You will:

Develop and support fellows one-to-one with individual AI training plans including curating materials for the fellows to help them reach their learning goals, and helping them identify AI solutions to their challenges Stay up to date with the latest research in AI including conference attendance. Academically co-ordinate the annual ‘Breaking Topics in AI’ conference Organize the courses run through the I-X Centre for AI in Science Develop, design and oversee the courses connected to technical AI learning of the fellows at the Centre.
