We are recruiting across the following four strategic areas:
Clean Energy Industries: Hydrogen & biogas fuels, energy networks, environmental economics, green finance, ethical supply chains, and behavioural change. Digital and Technologies: AI & machine-learning, cybersecurity, spatial intelligence, robotics, human-computer interaction, and digital transformation. Life Sciences: Drug discovery, diagnostics, pain research, preventative healthcare, wearable biosensors, & public-health surveillance. Professional and Business Services: Retail innovation, fintech, smart logistics, digital policy, and inclusive growth.
This is a research-intensive role, with the expectation of significant contributions to research excellence & innovation as well as also contributing to teaching within your associated Department. What we’re looking for:
A developing track record of research achievement. A clear & feasible research vision aligned to at least one of the priority areas of clean energy, digital and technologies, life sciences, or professional & business services. Potential to secure funding and build interdisciplinary collaborations. Potential to build links with external organisations, such as the commercial and public sector to drive the translation of research into innovation and to deliver real-world impact. Commitment to teaching & mentoring.

Recruitment will be conducted in rounds, with Round 1 closing for review in December 2025, shortlisting in January 2026, and remote interviews scheduled for January / February 2026.
