The Department of Life Sciences at Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The Department of Life Sciences at SBASSE pursues research in diverse fields of Cell & Molecular Biology, including Cancer Biology, Genetics & Epigenetics, Plant Molecular Biology, Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, and Computational Biology. The department offers a rigorous and innovative academic program through two curriculum streams, i.e., Molecular & Cellular Biology and Computational Biology.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
Establish and lead an independent, internationally competitive research program, Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Biochemistry, Molecular & Cell Biology, and related areas Supervise and mentor students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and Contribute to departmental and university service and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology or Cell Biology Post-doctoral research experience in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology or a related field Strong record of peer-reviewed publications with at least one first-author publication in a reputable journal (submitted or published) Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is desirable Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
