Due to a growing number of PhD students, Unicaf seek to recruit qualified PhD Thesis Supervisors for full-time and part-time collaboration across a wide range of Education and Social Sciences disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise doctoral candidates’ research projects in Education and Social Sciences and related fields, primarily in asynchronous mode. Guide students in developing research proposals, methodologies, and scholarly writing. Provide detailed, constructive, and timely feedback on submitted work. Mentor candidates in preparing for progression reviews and doctoral examinations. Serve as examiner for doctoral theses when required. Support students in preparing research outputs for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Facilitate candidates’ professional development, including conference presentations and networking. Maintain accurate supervision records, progress reports, and examination documentation. Contribute to asynchronous online teaching in doctoral-level taught modules.
About You
A Doctoral degree in Education and Social Sciences or closely related fields. Proven experience in supervising doctoral and/or master’s theses. A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience in online teaching is desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and IT skills (e.g., Moodle, MS Office). High proficiency in English. A collegial, flexible, and student-centred approach.
