Job Description:

The Large/ Mid Cap Biopharma Equity Research team is seeking an Equity Research Analyst or Associate with a well-rounded pedigree in life science and finance. The role offers direct exposure to a top-three ranked Institutional Investor analyst and expanding coverage across large-cap pharma, with responsibilities spanning fundamental research, financial modeling, policy analysis, and industry-related litigation. The candidate for this position should be intellectually curious and have a deep desire to learn.

The ideal candidate possesses a life science background and experience with financial modeling in either sell-side research, life science consulting or healthcare investment banking.

He or she will work alongside the Senior Analyst and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to modeling, including but not limited to the following:

Write industry and company research reports, including earnings results, forward-looking thematic pieces, and event-driven updatesBuild and maintain financial models and drug category market modelsAnalysis of industry macro trends and company financial resultsBuild relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companiesSeek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of informationMonitor news flow and proactively flag stock-impacting developments, particularly when the Senior Analyst is travelingCommunicate the team's investment recommendations to sales, trading and institutional investor clientsThis position has a requirement of being in the office 4 days per week. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience; advanced degree in life science discipline or relevant industry-experience is a plusIdeal candidate would have 1-4 years of experience in biopharma equity research, buy side experience or investment banking experienceStrong writing and financial modeling skills are requiredDemonstrated interest in public equity markets and fundamental researchAcademic background in a life science field and should understand economics, macroeconomic factors and policyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environmentMust have strong desire to be a team player and view team's success as a reflection of individual success Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$70,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
