How you will make an impact
Take ownership of specific areas within transactional tax, managing topics independently and ensuring high-quality deliveryPrepare and submit a wide range of tax declarations, including WHT, CIT, VAT, deferred taxes, and other applicable filingsLeverage your tax certification to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returnsDrive efficiency through the automation of VAT, WHT, and CIT processes, using AI tools and real-time S/4HANA dataStrengthen governance by monitoring compliance, identifying anomalies, and tracking tax risks through data-driven dashboardsContribute to the development and continuous improvement of indirect tax compliance processes across Spain and PortugalEnsure all tax deadlines are met, maintaining accuracy and reliability in all tax-related activitiesManage and triage the tax mailbox, providing timely responses and coordination with relevant stakeholdersSupport tax payment processes and perform regular reconciliation of tax accountsAssist in tax audits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution Your background
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, or similar, with a focus on taxation or compliance5 years of experience in operational tax, including preparation of Spanish tax declarations. Knowledge of Portuguese tax declarations will be considered a plusStrong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret local and international tax frameworksExperience with SAP (FI/CO, S/4HANA) and tax tools such as Vertex, SAP Document Compliance, or HELT; advanced Excel skills for data analysis and automationHighly organized and detail-oriented, with strong coordination skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlinesFluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English; TOC/OCC certification (or willingness to obtain it) and basic accounting knowledge are a plus More about us
