RESPONSIBILITIES
About The Role:
The Sr. Oracle Application Functional/Technical Specialist, under limited supervision, provides advanced system support for Oracle R E-business Suite and related third-party applications acting as an internal Functional/Technical resource. This includes, but is not limited to, gathering business requirements, design and maintenance of business applications, application configuration, systems testing and end-user production support. The Sr. Oracle Application Functional/Technical Specialist resource will provide functional support to the business, should have a solid understanding of the business processes and how they relate to the supported business applications. Sr. OAT Functional resource should research system functionality and operations in a clear and concise manner using analytical and problem-solving skills. Sr. Oracle Application Functional/Technical Specialist should try to anticipate business partner's questions and seek solutions with regular updates to the business partners and Corporate Business Systems Management. Technical skills are required to understand the table structures using basic to advanced SQL select statements, provide adequate issue resolution with detailed documentation. This employee has heavy contact with other company departments, as well as outside vendors in support of international IT operations.
Plan, organize and direct the implementation and/or development of supported applications in accordance with strategic business plans and industry standards on multiple large projectsResponsible for analyzing and resolving functional/technical problems of supported applications and user needsDocument the requirements, implement solutions following the GMF Software Development Lifecycle methodologyRevise existing systems as necessaryRevise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired resultsAssist with the creation, documentation and execution of test scripts for supported systemsResearch, implement and document solutions to issues identified during testingMonitor scheduled application interfaces and provide issue resolutionInterface with software vendors and suppliers in support of business applicationsCoordinate with program development teams on software interfaces used by supported business applicationsProvide direction to and mentor other teammatesCommunicate with management and business partners on business systems and project statusWork closely with internal business units to facilitate project completion

Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groupsAdvanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operationsAdvanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groupsKnowledge of GM Financial's core business functionsKnowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practicesKnowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutionsSignificant experience in a large and complex business environmentWorking knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environmentStrong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposesStrong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levelsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectivesAdvanced ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle on Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services and Oracle SupportAdvanced computer skills and conversance in information technology issuesAdvanced experience with data visualization concepts and toolsKnowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud Financials (GL, AP, BPM, SLA, FA, PAY, CE, iExp, AR Lite, RMC, OTBI Reporting and FCCS) preferred Knowledge of EDMCS preferredCoupa Deadline orientedExcellent writing and speaking skillsMust be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervisionAccounting Knowledge, GAAP and IFRSAIM Methodology and Project Management Lifecyle knowledgeExcellent Proactive Planning and Initiative in success of all project and support effortsSQL Select and Advanced SQL Education and Experience:
