The BlackRock Private Market Capital Formation Team (CFT) works with existing and prospective Limited Partner (LP) clients across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) to deliver access to BlackRock's private markets capabilities, including funds, co-investments, and bespoke mandates.

The team operates in close partnership with Client Business and Relationship Management teams to deliver private markets solutions, often as part of a broader whole-of-portfolio offering.

The team focuses on capital formation, co-investment opportunities, and product solutioning. Its core mandate is to provide the ANZ client base with access to key private market strategies through a solutions-oriented approach, tailored to client objectives.

CFT team members maintain knowledge of BlackRock's private markets platform and engage in investment discussions with LPs across infrastructure, real estate, private credit, and private equity.

Role Overview Reporting to the Head of Capital Formation for ANZ, based in Sydney, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of BlackRock's private markets capabilities to clients across the ANZ market & includes: Developing client materials (pitchbooks, strategy papers, marketing collateral, and new product documentation)Managing pipeline activity in coordination with Client Business teamsIdentifying capital raising opportunities across private markets strategiesSupporting co-investment fundraisingAssisting in structuring bespoke client solutionsContributing to the development of strategy narratives and supporting new fund launchesThe role spans all major private market asset classes, including Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Credit, and Private Equity.

Key Responsibilities: Partner with Client Business teams, Portfolio Managers, and Product Strategists to develop and execute client-focused strategies across ANZBuild and maintain strong internal (both locally & globally) relationships with key stakeholders across Capital Formation, Client Business, and Investment teamsDevelop and deepen external relationships with private markets teams across the ANZ client base, including superannuation funds, insurers, and sovereign wealth fundsContribute to product development initiatives and competitor analysis, including assessing market demand for new strategiesSupport the participation in strategically important and commercially viable RFP processes

Skills/Qualifications: Demonstrated experience (at least 3+ years) in a sales driven organization, with strong knowledge of the ANZ institutional investor landscape (including super funds, insurers, and sovereign wealth clients)Broad understanding of private market asset classes, including infrastructure, real estate, private credit, and private equity, and their investment characteristicsAwareness of key themes shaping the ANZ private markets ecosystem, including regulatory considerations, market trends, and benchmarking / fee frameworksStrong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographiesGenuine interest in capital formation and private market investingUnderstanding of competitive dynamics within the ANZ private market ecosystemRelevant professional qualifications preferred (e.g., MBA, CFA, CA/CPA)Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
