Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to join our team in Fife, WA. This is a physically active, customer-focused position operating a box truck and making local deliveries throughout the area. Location: Fife, WA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift starting at 6:00 AM, with 40 to 50 hours per week based on operational needs
Pay: Starting wages begin between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a company box truck to complete assigned delivery routes • Load, transport, and deliver materials, products, or equipment to customer locations • Read and follow route sheets, delivery schedules, and dispatch instructions • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns • Accurately complete delivery paperwork and maintain required records • Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries • Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed • Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
Working Conditions:
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials weighing 50 pounds or more • Regular climbing in and out of the truck throughout the day • Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions including rain, heat, cold, and wind • Exposure to traffic, vehicle vibrations, noise, and warehouse or yard environments • Fast-paced environment requiring safe and efficient work practices
Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Previous box truck, delivery, route, warehouse, or transportation experience preferred • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience • Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
