Waste Connections is seeking a reliable and experienced CDL A Driver to operate our Erie Colorado. The E&P Side Dump Operator is responsible for safely hauling non-hazardous oilfield waste—such as sludge, drilling fluids, and cuttings—from well sites to designated landfills or disposal facilities. , Starting Pay: $26.00-$30.00 Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed Key Responsibilities:
• Waste Collection and Transportation: • Operate trash trucks to collect garbage, recycling, and yard waste on assigned routes. • Ensure the safe and efficient loading of waste materials using appropriate techniques and equipment. • Transport collected waste to designated disposal facilities. • Vehicle Operation and Maintenance: • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition. • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet maintenance team promptly. • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards. • Safety and Compliance: • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating the vehicle and handling waste materials. • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to waste management and transportation. • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided. • Customer Service: • Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally. • Ensure waste collection services meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly. • Record Keeping: • Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collected, and any incidents or issues encountered. • Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner. • Qualifications: Qualifications:
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. • Two years of commercial driving experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of local streets and routes. • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items 50 lb +, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day. • Comfortable working in various weather conditions • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Steady working history. • Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
