At Vishay Specialty Thin Film, we manufacture highly engineered electronic components used in demanding applications including aerospace, defense, medical, telecommunications, and industrial technologies. Our Hudson facility is a small, collaborative team where every employee makes a visible impact. We're looking for an energetic Supply Chain Specialist who enjoys solving problems, working across departments, and ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time to support our customers.
You'll play a central role in planning production, managing supplier relationships, balancing inventory, and helping our factory deliver exceptional customer performance.

Where You’ll Work & The Scope: Vishay Centerline in Hudson, MA is currently seeking a Full Time Buyer/Planner responsible for planning production schedules and procuring materials, parts, components, and services to support our customer needs and requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Purchasing & Supplier Management
• Purchase raw materials, components, and outside services to support production requirements. • Build strong relationships with suppliers while monitoring quality, delivery, and cost performance. • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms when appropriate. • Identify alternate suppliers and recommend sourcing improvements. • Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve supply issues before they impact production. Production Planning
• Develop and maintain production schedules using our MRP system. • Balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity. • Coordinate priorities with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales. • Monitor inventory levels to support customer delivery while minimizing excess inventory. • Identify material shortages and develop recovery plans. Continuous Improvement
• Analyze inventory, planning, and purchasing data to improve operational performance. • Recommend process improvements that improve delivery, reduce inventory, and lower costs. • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. • Help build a resilient, responsive supply chain capable of supporting future business growth.
Experience You’ll Need:
Successful candidates will typically have:
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, production planning, supply chain, inventory management, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or a related field. • Experience working in a manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams. • A proactive mindset and a desire to improve processes. Preferred qualifications include:
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. • Experience in electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or other high-technology manufacturing environments.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
