Job Description Summary
• Manage collections activity for an assigned client portfolio, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices and achievement of monthly cash collection targets. • Review and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging Reports; contact past-due customers promptly and execute escalation and service hold processes as required. • Perform customer account reconciliations, including procurement portals such as Ariba and Coupa, to identify and resolve root causes of non-payment. • Resolve billing and contract disputes in coordination with internal stakeholders to remove payment barriers while preserving customer relationships. • Maintain accurate, complete account records in Workday; prepare Accounts Receivable and collections reports for the assigned portfolio as directed. • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, accelerate cash flow, and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). • Provide backup support to colleagues and contribute to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in collections, credit, or general accounting. • Proficiency with an ERP system; Workday Finance strongly preferred. • Solid working knowledge of the order-to-cash cycle and foundational GAAP concepts. • Ability to review and interpret customer contracts in relation to financial obligations and payment terms. • Experience reconciling customer procurement portals, including Ariba and/or Coupa. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a formal degree. • 3–5 years of customer-facing or account management experience in a service-oriented environment. • Prior experience in the software or professional services industry. • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Transparency Statement:
US Base Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $61,100.00 Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.
In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
