About this role

The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to general nursing teaching, research, and administrative activities in the school. The successful applicant will have a track record in research and education in the field of general nursing. They will be expected to provide leadership in the discipline of general nursing and contribute to interdisciplinary and interprofessional curricular development, teaching, supervision, and mentoring of undergraduate and postgraduate students. This post provides an exciting opportunity to advance general nursing and its components, which are of strategic focus for the discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The successful candidate will have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will have a sustained record of research funding capture leading to practice innovation and scholarly publication. The individual will also be required to connect with, complement, and enhance the existing strengths in the general nursing discipline and in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The appointee will be able to avail of an outstanding environment for education, research, and scholarly activities, and will be expected to engage with innovations and research initiatives in the general nursing discipline. The appointee will work closely with the head/s of discipline and other discipline members.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Associate Professor Salary Scale (€91,151 - €117,706 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
