About this role

1.0FTE, 37 hours per week

This is a fixed term post for 12 months (maternity cover)

This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 60% on campus.

The Department

Academic Registry sits at the heart of the University’s student experience. We provide a flexible, student-focused administration service that supports the core academic activities of the student lifecycle and the operation of our Academic Schools. Working collaboratively across the University, we deliver high-quality, professional services that underpin the University’s academic mission and strategic priorities.

The Team

You will join the School Administration team, which provides comprehensive support to Academic Schools and their leadership teams. Our work is varied and fast-paced, ranging from planning student induction activities and applicant interviews to organising school meetings and events. We pride ourselves on being proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent service.

The Role

As a School Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school of Arts, Culture and Environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Organising student induction and welcome activities Supporting applicant interviews and conversion events Coordinating school meetings and communications Assisting with HR processes and recruitment activities

This is a role for someone who is organised, friendly, and adaptable, with a willingness to give everything a go. You’ll need excellent office and administrative skills, strong IT proficiency (especially Microsoft Office), and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential.
