Role Summary
Drivers are a fundamental part of the Operations team. Their primary focus is to ensure that guests are transported safely, on time, in a clean and friendly environment. While safety is our number one priority, it’s equally important for drivers to support daily operations in a fun and professional demeanor.
What we’re looking for:
• You have your Class 4 BC unrestricted license - with a clean driving record, or have a test booked and completed license by the time of start date.
• You know and embrace the flexibility tourism careers require - work hard, play hard
• You understand that safety and minimizing risk is our #1 priority - fun is a close second.
• You are productive and positive when working with fellow staff - you’ll see a lot of each other
• You have fabulous time management skills and can effectively work with minimal supervision
• You don’t shy away from repetitive tasks and are adaptable
Main Duties
Safety
• Adhering to and maintaining knowledge of all job-related protocols, policies, and procedures
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe vehicle operation
• Take ownership of vehicle inspections and maintenance, address any concerns with Course Supervisors right away
• Ensure you are abiding to all BC road rules and laws
• Report any unsafe road conditions to appropriate sources
Operations
• Transporting groups to and from the village in a friendly, professional, and safe manner
• Coordinating guest pick-up and drop-offs within the correct tour flow
• Assist Course Supervisors with tasks on/off course throughout the day when requested
• Understand tour flow and effectively coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs
• Work with minimum supervision
• Additional duties as required
Communication
• Adhering to and maintaining knowledge of all job-related protocols, policies, and procedures
• Maintain strong communication with the entire Operations team throughout the day
• Communicate all radio protocols clearly and accurately
Guest Experience
• Upholding the highest level of customer service with each guest interaction
• Ensure vehicles are clean and ready for guests to travel in
• Be respectful and polite when dealing with outside sources

Hours, Training & Benefits:
• On-call schedule with possible irregular hours - dependent on business levels
• We work in a seasonal town, our staff work hard in the summer and book their holidays during the shoulder seasons (September - mid-December). If you aim to take time off in July or August this role may not be the best fit
• Summer Recreation & Wellness allowance of $500
• Hourly wage starting at $24.80 per hour
• All job-specific training is done in house - over a 2 week period
