We are looking for a Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our Restaurant team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community.
He/She will report to the Restaurant Manager.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive first impression; Manage restaurant reservations efficiently, using reservation systems, and handle walk-in guests professionally; Accompany guests to their tables, ensuring proper seating arrangements and considering special requests; Maintain an accurate and organized seating chart, managing table turns to optimize restaurant capacity; Effectively communicate with the service team, kitchen, and management regarding guest flow, special requests, and any potential issues; Provide guests with menus and introduce them to their server, ensuring a smooth transition; Handle guest inquiries and special requests with grace and efficiency, resolving minor issues promptly or escalating as necessary; Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup; Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, upholding Belmond's commitment to luxury hospitalityRequirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment; Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural warm and engaging personality; A sophisticated and polished appearance, reflecting the luxury standards of Belmond; Proven ability to manage reservations systems and seating arrangements efficiently; Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment; A proactive and intuitive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations; Fluency in Italian and English is essential; knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, German, Russian) is a significant advantage; A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering world-class service. We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L.
