Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with a strong background in development and architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, experience in designing scalable data solutions, and a passion for optimizing cloud-based data platforms.
If you hold an Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification, it will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
• Architect scalable and secure data solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging Snowflake’s advanced features.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver business-critical data solutions.
• Ensure best practices in data architecture, security, and performance tuning within the Snowflake environment.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team.
• Stay abreast of Snowflake updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of systems.
Qualifications
Essential:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, or Informatica.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred:
• Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification.
• Experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Data Sharing.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.
