About the Role Total Rehab Kids is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing outpatient pediatric therapy team. This role is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about evaluations, re-evaluations, and clinical supervision of SLP Assistants, while still providing direct treatment. Unlike many SLP jobs, we prioritize your well-being and success by providing a minimum of 2 hours of protected documentation and supervision time daily, helping you stay organized and avoid burnout.
In this position, you will make a meaningful impact on children and families by:
• Conducting accurate evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Supervising and mentoring SLP Assistants to ensure high-quality care.
• Creating and overseeing individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborating with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support holistic care.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Pediatric experience, including feeding and swallowing.
• Experience supervising SLP Assistants.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations.
• Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and oversight for SLP Assistants.
• Deliver limited treatment sessions for specialized cases, including pediatric feeding disorders.
• Develop, adjust, and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Document all patient care and progress thoroughly, supported by daily protected documentation time.
• Educate families and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies at home.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (OT, PT, SLP) to deliver coordinated care.
