Recreation Supervisor Overview:
The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily operations of the Cobre Valley Recreation Center, ensuring high-quality service delivery, financial efficiency, and a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. This position works closely with leadership to implement strategic initiatives, optimize resources, and promote programs and services across all facility areas.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center, golf course, sport courts, pool, and event spaces.
• Develop and implement operational systems and procedures; advise leadership on policy improvements.
• Support budgeting efforts, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control strategies.
• Assist with marketing, outreach, and communication efforts.
• Track inventory and assist with ordering supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling and staffing coverage.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor staff.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and team development.
• Investigate and resolve member concerns and service issues.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare operational, attendance, and financial reports.
• Monitor facility conditions and coordinate maintenance and safety.
• Support special events, tournaments, and community programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk-management standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree and one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Required Certifications:
Current CPR for the Professional, AED, First Aid, and Arizona Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
