Staff Accountant

We're partnering with a well-established consumer products manufacturer that's been an industry leader for more than 20 years. Their innovative products are distributed through major retailers across North America, and they're looking for a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of accounting experience who wants exposure beyond traditional AP responsibilities. You'll work alongside an experienced Accounting Manager and Controller while gaining hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, ERP implementation, and process improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
• Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules in accordance with GAAP
• Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Assist with commission and royalty reporting
• Set up and maintain vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 reporting
• Coordinate with operations regarding inventory, inbound container costs, and invoice approvals
• Assist with financial reporting, data analysis, and special accounting projects
• Help support process improvements and ERP system implementation initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Experience with Accounts Payable and account reconciliations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products experience
• Inventory accounting exposure
• ERP system experience (SAP, NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar)
