Accelerate Trimble's Monetization Evolution: Functional Application Architect - Consumption Billing & Entitlement Transformation (Salesforce Ecosystem)

In this role, you will bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution, designing the enterprise-scale architecture that powers our cutting-edge industrial technology solutions worldwide.

In this high-impact position, you will be the driving force behind Trimble’s global commercial evolution, transforming how our customers consume and pay for software. You will own the functional architecture for consumption-based billing and entitlement migration across our global ecosystem, giving you a unique opportunity to shape scalable monetization frameworks, influence critical go-to-market strategies, and eliminate legacy systems on an international scale.
Key Exciting Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the end-to-end functional design for consumption-based billing solutions, integrating Salesforce CRM with modern usage-based billing engines and downstream platforms. • Lead the strategic migration of legacy entitlement systems to Trimble’s advanced Entitlement Management System (EMS), standardizing naming and concurrent licensing models. • Partner with Product, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams to seamlessly onboard innovative software products into state-of-the-art consumption billing architectures. • Translate complex monetization and pricing strategies into highly scalable data models, usage metrics, and detailed user stories for global engineering teams. • Govern data flows and integrations across platforms, establishing best practices for usage ingestion, real-time event processing, and financial compliance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• 6+ years of deep functional experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, with a dedicated focus on billing, software entitlements, or monetization platforms. • Hands-on expertise with Metronome or highly similar consumption-based and usage-based billing platforms. • Proven track record of leading complex data migrations from legacy software platforms to modern enterprise architectures. • Demonstrated capability collaborating with globally distributed, cross-functional teams in an agile environment using Jira and Confluence. • Strong working knowledge of REST APIs and API testing tools like Postman.
Bonus Points For:
• Background integrating usage-based billing engines directly with Salesforce CRM and downstream automated provisioning workflows. • Deep understanding of revenue recognition guidelines, SaaS subscription lifecycles, and financial compliance standards. • Familiarity with real-time usage processing, event-driven architecture, and enterprise SaaS product launches.

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Hiring Range $105,600.00–$145,200.00Pay Rate Type Salary Bonus Eligible? YesCommission Eligible?
