We are looking for a Fall 2026 Interior Design Intern in our Lexington, KY office, who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow alongside our designers. This internship provides hands-on project experience, exposure to the design process from concept through construction, and opportunities to engage with product reps, clients, and design teams.
What You’ll Do:
You will support our Interior Design team through a mix of creative, technical, and organizational tasks, including:
Design & Documentation
• Assist designers in developing digital and physical finish boards
• Help pick up redlines and markups in Revit (primary) or AutoCAD
• Support Furniture, Art & Signage (FAS) research and specifications
• Contribute to design research, material selections, and project presentations
Project Support & Field Experience:
• Participate in field work, site visits, and punch lists (occasional overnight travel may occur)
• Sit in on project meetings to observe workflows, communication styles, and client interactions
• Accompany designers to rep meetings, showroom visits, and industry events
Library & Vendor Coordination:
• Maintain the materials library (ordering and organizing samples)
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with product representatives
• Learn the product lifecycle and industry standards for interior finishes and furniture
Qualifications:
• Current Interior Design student at a college or university (2nd year or above preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe InDesign
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate
• Familiarity with Revit (preferred, but not required)
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam (preferred, but not required)
• Exposure to SketchUp, Lumion, or other 3D visualization tools (preferred, but not required)
• Basic understanding of material standards, FF&E, and design documentation (preferred, but not required)
