Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our Placerville Clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as a patient advocate throughout visits and treatments
• Room patients and prepare them for exams and procedures
• Record medical history, vitals, medications, and updates in EMR
• Assist physicians during exams and surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and follow proper clinical protocols
• Educate patients on treatments, medications, and aftercare
• Administer medications as directed by physicians
• Handle prescription refills and pharmacy communication
• Clean and prepare exam rooms and equipment between patients
• Manage inventory and ensure proper stocking of supplies
• Schedule patient appointments and support clinic flow
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
• 2+ years in a clinical setting
• Dermatology experience (highly preferred)
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and medical compliance standards
• Basic to intermediate computer/EMR skills
