About this role
As an, IT Security Operations Intern you’ll be an integral member of the Whitley Penn IT team and provide firm wide support for information and data security. The IT Security Operations Intern will be responsible for: • monitoring and reporting of systems and endpoints security events, incidents, and performance • follow-up troubleshooting and remediation of possible incidents and findings • implementation and maintenance of various security software, appliances, tools, and configurations across the enterprise as directed • Reviewing and collecting data and analyzing existing and new security tools, systems, and operations and then research, recommend, plan, and remediate accordingly • Executing regular data security activities and reporting as directed
