About this role
Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Projects, Assets & Infrastructure, the Safety Officer will play an integral role in the work environment of the Public Works & Utilities (PW&U) departments. The Safety Officer will use their technical expertise and ability to form effective working relationships with all levels of management, staff, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to promote and maintain the safety culture in Public Works & Utilities. The Safety Officer is embedded within Public Works & Utilities operations and is responsible for driving a proactive, field-focused safety culture.
