About this role
The Hospice RN's overall responsibility is for the management, oversight, coordination, and provision of care for a group of patients. The Hospice RN is responsible for providing for the physical, mental and social well being of her/his patients using evidence-based practice. The role requires case management skills directed towards achieving positive health outcomes; coordination with an interdisciplinary team, assuring adequate financial coverage for the care of agency patients, and appropriate utilization of resources to achieve optimal health care benefits. The Hospice RN reports to the Chief Clinical Officer or Clinical Supervisor for home care staff and Hospice Director for hospice staff.
