Are you an experienced Care Assistant looking for a rewarding role where your skills and compassion can make a genuine difference?
SDR is looking for dedicated and experienced Care Assistants to join our friendly teams at Downs House and Stroud House Residential Care Homes. If you have experience providing high-quality care and enjoy supporting older people, including those living with dementia and complex needs, we would love to hear from you.
You'll be joining a supportive team where your contribution is valued, your experience is recognised and you can help residents live happy, comfortable and fulfilling lives.
Available Roles
We have a range of Care Assistant opportunities available:
Peripatetic Care Assistant – Downs House & Stroud House
• 24 hours per week
• £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements
• Driver required (to support travel between both homes)
Stroud House Care Assistant
• Day shifts – 30 hours per week
• Night shifts – 24 hours per week
• £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in providing person-centred care and support to our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing personal care and support with daily living.
• Building meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting residents' mobility, wellbeing and independence.
• Caring for residents living with dementia and complex needs.
• Following individual care plans and supporting personal choices.
• Completing accurate care records.
• Working collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive team.
About Our Homes
Downs House is a welcoming 46-bed residential care home in Petersfield, providing high-quality, person-centred care in a calm and supportive environment.
Stroud House is a specialist 25-bed residential care home supporting older people, including those living with complex dementia, in a warm and homely setting.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience working as a Care Assistant within a care home, residential or healthcare setting.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Is compassionate, patient and respectful.
• Understands the importance of dignity, choice and independence.
• Is reliable and committed to delivering excellent care.
• Works well as part of a team.
Experience supporting people living with dementia would be highly desirable.
