About this role
The Line Cook at Golfzon Social Scarsdale is responsible for preparing menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to quality. This position plays a key role in delivering a great guest experience by ensuring all food is prepared accurately and presented to standard.
Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook all menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout service.
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow proper food safety, holding temperatures, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Assist with daily prep, station setup, and end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning.
• Ensure all products are rotated properly using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
• Uphold high standards of food consistency and quality during peak service times.
• Report any equipment issues, product shortages, or safety concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tickets at once.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation.
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
