Pay:
$15.16 - $15.30
General Purpose: Serves members and guests in and around the pool area while enforcing all water safety policies and procedures and maintaining cleanliness of the facility
Key Responsibilities of the Pool Attendant: • Maintains cleanliness of facility operations according to established daily maintenance procedures. • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities. • Answers guest questions regarding such programs. • Records all cash, checks, and charges based on established cash control procedures. • Maintains understanding of operating procedures for the pool and pool equipment. • Completes checklists for opening, closing, and daily procedures. • Takes direction from the Facility Coordinator, Special Event and Youth Coordinator, and Conference Recreation Coordinator. • Assists in the implementation of programs, youth programs, special events, and conference recreation events. • Provides a safe environment within facilities and activities.• Processes recreation reservations as needed. • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. • Maintains regular and reliable attendance. • Performs other duties as required.
Physical Demands: • Frequently uses hands and talks and hears. • Regularly stands and sits. • Occasionally walks; reaches with hands and arms; climbs; balances; stoops; kneels; crouches; or crawls; and tastes or smells. • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise: • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near fumes or airborne particles, and near toxic or caustic chemicals. • Noise level is moderate.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. No prior Pool Attendant experience or training require
Certificates/Licenses: CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
