POSITION: Millwright

SHIFT: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday (OT as needed)

PAY RATE: $28.70 - $37.00 per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package

LOCATION: West Fargo, ND

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the fabricating, assembling and installation of capital equipment within all our manufacturing facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Proficient in welding and fabricating steel.

• Perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities.

• Weld and cut a variety of materials. This includes welding carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.

• Assembling and installing manufacturing machines to ensure they work correctly.

• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

• Align equipment by using specialized tools (e.g., micrometer, plumb bobs).

• Operation of an overhead crane, mobile crane and forklift as training allows.

• Rigging material and equipment.

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

• Work at elevations up to 30 feet.

• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain and wind).

• Willingness to work flexible hours.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Prompt and dependable attendance.

• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALITIES

• Written and verbal communication skills.

• Computer skills.

• Read tape measure.

• Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and fluid power knowledge and experience is preferred.

• Familiar with GMAW, FCAW & SMAW welding processes.

• Understanding proper LOTO procedures.

• Ability to operate a fuel cutting torch and plasma cutting.

• Be familiar with the correct and safe methods of rigging material and equipment.

• Ability to accept responsibility, accountable for their actions, dependable and trustworthy.

• Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

• Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

• Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Two years experience in steel fabrication.

• Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to meet the requirements of our company's fleet policy.
