About this role
A Guest Service Attendant acts as the primary point of contact for golfers, managing daily operations, tee times, and customer service in a golf shop. Key responsibilities include checking in members/guests, processing sales transactions, maintaining shop cleanliness, and assisting with merchandise inventory. They often manage cart assignments, provide course information, and support tournament operations.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 DOE
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Service & Check-in: Greeting golfers, managing reservations, checking in players, and answering phone inquiries.
• Sales & POS Operations: Handling cash and credit card transactions, selling merchandise, and processing rental equipment fees.
• Merchandising & Inventory: Stocking, organizing, and displaying merchandise, as well as assisting with inventory counts.
• Operations & Logistics: Assisting with cart staging, monitoring the tee sheet to control pace of play, and performing opening/closing procedures.
• Expected to assist with food service and carts as needed.
• Maintenance: Keeping the pro shop and surrounding areas clean, organized, and tidy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Golf Knowledge: Understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and terminology.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to use POS (Point-of-Sale) systems and reservation software.
• Flexibility: Availability to work, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Use of cell phone prohibited while on duty.

• Typical Physical Demands - Standing for long periods. Lifting, pushing, or pulling merchandise and golf bags.
