We are currently searching for a Clinical Assistant Team Lead to join our team at our OrthoCarolina Concord office location.

The Clinical Assistant Team Lead is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

Essential Functions:

• Monitors staff behavior, holding staff accountable for assignments, customer service and other standards such as Policy and Procedure whether technical or organizational criterion.

• Serves as a clinical information resource for the staff.

• Assures OSHA and other compliance standards are met in each module in each location (including Spore Testing, Emergency equipment checks, cleaning logs, etc.).

• Provides guidance on technical questions.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of EMR (Epic)

• Ability to triage patient telephone calls. Gather pertinent facts; be as accurate and concise as possible to assess patient health status and act as liaison between patient and provider.

• Ability to clearly and effectively educate patients, families and staff regarding the full scope of patient care needs related to the care of patients with orthopedic problems.

• Communicate effectively and clearly. Respond well to questions with patients, physicians/ mid-level providers and co-workers.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, nursing or a college degree in a related field

Or Experience plus certification

CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),

National HealthCareer Association (NHA),

American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

American Medical Technologists (AMT)

American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)

• EMTs will need Emergency Medical Technician certification

• ATCs will need to be board certified as Athletic Trainer

• New graduates are welcome

• Active & Current Driver’s license/ Clean driving record

• Travel to other OC locations may be required.
