About this role
Assists the physician or mid-level practitioner in the examination and treatment of patients performing technical services within the scope of practice of the medical assistant. Medical Assistants perform duties that support patient care and clinic operations. Assignments are based on clinic needs and are consistent with the employee’s classification, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreement. Medical Assistants are typically assigned to a primary department and may be assigned to support other departments as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations. Some Medical Assistants are hired into designated float roles to provide coverage across multiple departments. The home-department will be identified at the time of hire or transfer.
