About this role
The LOP & Litigation Collections Specialist is responsible for managing outstanding account balances related to Letters of Protection (LOP) and litigation cases. The specialist will audit patient accounts to determine accuracy of codes/fees billed and payments/adjustments posted in order to confirm balances provided to outside parties. Prepare statements and billing ledgers in response to incoming legal inquiries. Confer with legal counsel on claims with pending litigation matters, including AR follow-up. Settle and negotiate final settlement/resolution in accordance with company guidelines. Dispute unilateral settlements when necessary.
