About this role
Responsible for ensuring the security, confidentiality, completeness, and accuracy of the medical records of GFC and all additional Ancillary departments in accordance with policies and procedures within the guidelines of HIPAA and GFC Compliance Policies. Utilizes EHR to maintain patient medical records. Receives, reviews and responds to all correspondence or requests for release of information and maintain a log on all information requested and released. Responds to large volume audit requests. Assists in answering the telephone. Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously changing environment with demanding turnaround times. Understands and maintains department compliance with CMS regulations and company policy.
