JOB SUMMARY: The Operating Room Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily clinical operations of the Operating Room during assigned shifts. The Charge Nurse serves as the clinical leader for perioperative services, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while maintaining optimal patient flow, staffing, surgeon satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The OR Charge Nurse functions as a resource, mentor, and liaison among surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership. The role requires continuous coordination of staff, patients, equipment, and operating room resources to ensure efficient surgical throughput and patient safety
