JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for outside sales calling for the specific reason of development, fostering maintenance of new and existing relationships with mortgage brokers in the communities in which the wholesale office is located. Actively participates in marketing all of the company's products and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and develop new broker relationships for the purpose of having said brokers submit mortgage financing requests for new first liens, seconds liens and refinance transactions to the company for approval and closing

• Participate in all marketing of the company through mailings, advertisements, networking meetings, educational seminars and other business development

• Maximize the company's profitability through appropriate training on pricing of new loan origination, fee income, and selling of all company products and services

• Communicating with brokers during the processing, underwriting, documenting and closing phase of the loan to ensure a smooth transaction and repeat business

• Support the company's strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge

• Assist in establishing priorities for team personnel in the daily handling and monitoring of loan transaction in the pipeline

• Performs other duties and/or mortgage related tasks as assigned by management.

• The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field or equivalent training or 2 years experience in mortgage banking, mortgage lending or sales is advantageous.

• Basic computer skills required: word processing, e-mail systems, data base programs, etc.

• Superior sales, interpersonal, leadership, planning, marketing and communication skills.

SKILLS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as deposit receipts, promissory notes, regulatory and legal directives, memorandums, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to speak effectively before customers, employees and groups.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
